Bryan Bros. Lead the Washington Kastles to Victory Over San Diego Aviators in WTT Match
Mike and Bob Bryan led the Washington Kastles to a win last night over the San Diego Aviators in World Team Tennis.
Playing at the beautiful and sold out Washington DC Stadium, the Kastles were trailing 10-8, when Mike combined up with Anastasia Rodionova to win the Mixed 5-2, to put their team up 13-12. And in the last match of the night, the Bros. closed out the evening with a 5-2 win over Ryan Harrison and Raven Klaasen, 5-2, with the Kastles cruising to a 23-16 victory.
The Bros. have played World Team Tennis for twenty years, having competed for Idaho, Kansas City, San Diego and now Washington DC.
Mike said, “We love the team and rockin’ atmosphere of WTT and we especially enjoy playing for our longtime pal, Murphy Jensen. Murphy is a great coach and leader and he was one of our doubles idols when we were growing up. He has always been so supportive of us on our tennis journey and he has become a good friend.”
“And we also really had a blast playing for the enthusiastic Washington DC fans and owner Mark Ein. Mark has been the best owner in the league for many years and now owns WTT and is doing a great job with it. He is also a longtime family friend and he does so much for our sport in so many ways.”
