2018 is zooming and vrooming by on us…
But, are you ready for this? ••• drumroll ••• newsflash ••• April 1st 2018 is EASTER SUNDAY… April Fools’ day?
Does that help explain your 2018?
Easter Sunday • April Fools’ Day … Still shaking my head.
And yet some how odd and off and a little funny. We all need funny. The world has come together in South Korea for the OLYMPICS. Olympics are every four years. Tennis is 50 weeks. Our players are always together. Tennis is the best example the world has at all of us getting along. The players are all over the globe. Every continent. Every day. The sun always shines on tennis. It’s being played somewhere 24/7/365.
That’s great. But tennis is also diluting itself. It’s not promoting itself.
We are living in the greatest generation gap in the history of Mankind! That’s the truth.
Till all the people over 50 die off like old tennis balls. We can’t try to reach the tennis audience only via internet; Email, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, websites, or Instagram. All formats are needed.
Did you see the great issue of tennis that came out in the U.S. – the best edition and format in years. We still need phone calls. Post cards and follow ups.
BNP Paribas Indian Wells. Ok. 10sBalls decided to bring in the crew from all corners of the globe. Sorry Ricky, but you were invited. We have groups. Group leaders. And we have a full staff at 3 locations. We are ready. We have daily seminars planned. A Gene Scott Media Grass tourney scheduled. The Taste of Tennis party. The Belgians bringing the baby… the Dutch coming en masse. It’s going to be great. Pack your sunnies and sunscreen.
Fasten your seat belts. And be sure to be looking for “Peter Cottontail” on April Fools’ Day.
