Davis Cup Tennis in Valencia By Sven Groeneveld • Toalson Tennis • Orange Coach • 10sBalls Ambassador
- Updated: April 6, 2018
First Day at the Davis Cup between Spain and Germany in Valencia.
Traveling is part of my life for the Past 37 years and the past weeks have not been different. After having had a chance to be in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, The Netherlands now in Spain. I am enjoying the company of my parents and seeing friends in Valencia.
Unique setting in a Bull ring built in the year 1860 but this a “Vegan” fight today on the Red clay! (Even though I always call it Orange Clay)
Besides my parents I can’t leave my support at home. 10sballs is well represented and in the colors of the Spanish flag. My loyal supporter Toalson Tennis is “all about performance”.
For me it is difficult to imagine that this will never be the same if the ITF decides to create a world championships (format to be decided of-course)
However today was a reminder of what we will be missing when there will Be No Home crowd.
Today Spain and Germany split the 2 matches and both won their match in 3 sets to 0! Nadal showed that not playing Indian Wells and Miami has not slowed him down and will be a force to reckon with on the clay!
