A knee injury has ended Jack Draper’s clay-court campaign.
The 2025 Indian Wells champion Draper has shut down his clay season and pulled out of Roland Garros due to the knee injury he sustained at the Barcelona Open.
“My knee is on the mend and I’ve started back hitting balls, but unfortunately, I have been advised not to play Roland-Garros,” Draper posted on Instagram on Wednesday. “As gutting as it is to miss another slam, the advice is not to rush straight back into playing 5 set tennis on clay.
“Off the back of the arm injury I sustained last year, I’ve been restricted with my training, and by giving myself the time to heal and build, I can be the player I want to be out there once again.”
The injury-induced withdrawal could cost the 28th-ranked Draper his Top 100 spot as he loses ranking points from his 2025 Madrid final, Rome quarterfinal and Roland Garros round of 16 appearances.
