Wimbledon Offers Historic Opportunity
Reigning men’s champion Jannik Sinner is top seed for the third straight year. Novak Djokovic continues his hunt for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam championship. Two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz withdrew continuing his recovery from a right wrist injury. British hope Jack Draper is working with former world No. 1 Andy Murray for grass court season. Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner, former US Open finalist Jessica Pegula, 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova, 2025 finalist Amanda Anisimova, Roland Garros champion Mirra Andreeva and two-time major title holder Coco Gauff are among the top contenders for the Venus Rosewater Dish. Venus Williams, 46, and sister Serena Williams, 44, have accepted a wild card into the ladies’ doubles draw. The Williams sisters are 14-0 in career Grand Slam doubles finals, including a 6-0 mark in Wimbledon doubles finals.
